Crieff & Strathearn Drovers' Tryst

Crieff & Strathearn Drovers' Tryst annually celebrates the life, work and play of the people who made Crieff the cattle-droving crossroads of Scotland in the 1700s.

The modern day Tryst is a week-long festival in October run by volunteers and built around a programme of guided walks in the stunning scenery and autumn colours of Strathearn and surrounding area. The walks vary in difficulty but all are enriched by wildlife, plants, trees, history and the company of like-minded people.

Children under 16, accompanied by an adult, are welcome on the Easy and Medium graded walks.

Complementing the walks are the Hairy Coo mountain bike races, with a Bairns race specially for under 12s, and a series of enjoyable evening social events, with music, drama, film and dancing at a family-friendly ceilidh!

In 2016 the Tryst runs from Saturday 8th to Saturday 15th October.
