Ewan McGregor stars in hometown tourism video
The Crieff and Strathearn Tourism association were delighted when local actor Ewan McGregor agreed to star in a short tourism video promoting the huge range of places to stay and things to do in the area.
Born in Perth Royal Infirmary and brought up in Crieff, Ewan still has a strong connection with the area and was pleased to be involved in the project. Whilst visiting his parents Jim and Carol in Crieff over the summer, Ewan recorded the script and added a touch of Hollywood glamour to the production.
Ewan’s Mum Carol McGregor approved the idea wholeheartedly; “I am delighted that Ewan has supported this project, he grew up here and still retains close ties with Crieff and Strathearn”.
The vibrant video features attractions including the Famous Grouse Experience, Auchingarrich Wildlife centre, and stunning shots of the surrounding countryside. There’s also a taste of local cuisine and accommodation providers including Crieff Hydro resort where Ewan worked as a young lad.
Stuart McLaren Chairman of the Crieff and Strathearn Tourism Association praises Ewan’s involvement in the project.
“it’s fantastic that Ewan has supported this project - this is a beautiful part of the world and there is so much on offer here for visitors.”
