Battle of Bannockburn
A battle that has fascinated generations is revealed in five centuries of books. Explore how the story changes from century to century and find out the connection with the Drummond family in this exhibition to mark the 700th anniversary of the triumph of Robert the Bruce.
Golf and other Scottish Sports
In the year of the Ryder Cup at Gleneagles and the Commonwealth Games, the Library has searched the shelves for books with a sporting theme and as well as the beginnings of the rules of ‘The Goff’, you can see details of Crieff’s first golf club and a guide to fishing, hunting with hounds and of course, the history of curling.
